Charitable purpose

This website is published by United Mothers of Loss Foundation, an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 99-1997847), to share grief resources and information about its charitable programs. Nothing is sold here, and no purchase or paid membership is required to receive support.

Not medical or mental health care

Our resources, guides, and communities offer general grief support. They are not medical care, mental health treatment, therapy, or crisis services, and they are not a substitute for them. If you are in crisis or concerned for your safety, please contact emergency services or a crisis line in your area.

Program availability

Program support depends on designated funding, available supplies, shipping capacity, and coordination with participating care facilities. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval or delivery. Please read the care package eligibility policy before requesting a care package.

Content and trademarks

Turning Loss Into Light™ and the Foundation’s logo, text, guides, and images belong to the Foundation. You are welcome to download our free guides and share them, unaltered and with attribution, for personal or nonprofit supportive use. Please write to us before any commercial or derivative use.

Community conduct

Our peer-support communities are moderated. We ask everyone to keep them safe: no harassment, no medical advice, no promotion or solicitation, and no sharing of another member’s story outside the group. We may remove content or participation that puts grieving families at risk.

Third-party links

Where we link to another organization — such as our Candid profile or our donation platform — that organization operates under its own terms and privacy practices. We do not display advertising or affiliate links on this site. How we use Google Ads measurement is described in our privacy notice.

Donations

Donations are processed through Zeffy’s secure giving platform. Gifts designated for a specific program are applied to that program. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
