United Mothers of Loss Foundation · Cuddle Cot program
Cuddle Cot donations & hospital placements
Help give grieving families more time with their babies after stillbirth or infant loss. United Mothers of Loss Foundation raises funds for Cuddle Cot placements with participating hospitals, birth centers, and other eligible care facilities.
What is a Cuddle Cot?
A CuddleCot is a cooling system used in bereavement care after a baby dies. It can give families additional time to hold their baby, create memories, and say goodbye. The choice to use one is personal; a family's care team can explain the options available to them.
For information about the equipment itself, visit the official CuddleCot website.
Ways to support a Cuddle Cot placement
Give through the community campaign
Our $3 Cuddle Cot Community Challenge brings small gifts together toward another unit. Visit the campaign to contribute through the Foundation's secure Zeffy donation page.
Sponsor a placement
A business, congregation, organization, or family can discuss contributing toward a unit. We will discuss the current budget, receiving facility, timing, and any agreed acknowledgment before a specific placement is arranged.
For hospitals and care facilities
Contact the Foundation to discuss your facility's bereavement care needs and a possible Cuddle Cot placement. In your inquiry, include your facility's name and location, your role and contact information, and the department that would use the equipment.
Placements depend on designated funding, equipment availability, and coordination with the receiving facility. An inquiry does not guarantee a unit or delivery date. Equipment is coordinated with care facilities rather than distributed directly to individuals.
